The Gardner Shield
is a men’s interclub competition that takes place on Monday afternoons
over seven weeks in October – November. Napier clubs constitute one
zone while Hastings and Havelock North make up the other. The winner
of each zone plays off in a final.
Each club can enter two teams of triples (3 bowls – 18 ends). A player
can be anyone who has not played in the interclub sevens teams.
