LAST WEEK'S RESULTS
CLUB
Women's Championship Fours
For all sorts of reasons this event has been delayed until now. At the start of play yesterday (Sunday) two teams were undefeated; those skipped by Mandy Boyd and Wendy Mitchell. One-lifers included Lois Hook, Sue Brock and Fay Johnson. By the end of the day three teams remain; Mandy (two lives),  Fay and Wendy (both with one life).

COACHING TIP
Be Selfish - Think of Yourself
All opposition needs to be treated with respect. However whilst respect is essential, focusing on one’s own performance is the key to success. You have no control over how well or how poorly the opposition is going to perform. LEAVE THEM ALONE - play your own game.

THE LAW
YOU HAVE STARTED MEASURING AND A BOWL FALLS OVER
You are in the process of deciding the number of shots when a bowl falls over.
If a bowl falls of its own accord, it should be left in its new position while deciding the number of shots scored continues, and all the shots agreed before the bowl fell will count.

ETIQUETTE

Have Patience After A Bowl Is Delivered
If you are waiting for your opponent to deliver the last bowl wait until he/she moves off the mat before placing the mat on the bank. After the last bowl has been delivered wait for him/her to move up the green before you move off.

HUMOUR
A woman who marries an archaeologist is a lucky woman, as the older she gets, the more interesting he finds her.

Computer Humour
Customer: I have a huge problem. A friend has placed a screen saver on my computer, but every time I move the mouse, it disappears.

Mothers Are Our First Teachers

'There are millions of less fortunate children in this world who don't have wonderful parents like you do.'
